Hon Olusegun Olulade is a seasoned professional with over three decades of experience in politics, human and customer relations, education, and business. He has B.Sc/Ed in Economic (2nd Class Upper division) from Lagos State University (LASU) and a certified fellow of marketing communication institutes of Nigeria (CMCIN). Currently serving as the Executive Director of Customer Centricity and Marketing at Galaxy Backbone, Olulade’s career highlights include two terms as a Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Epe Constituency II.
During his time in Lagos State House of Assembly, he held key positions such as Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Security, Strategy, and Publicity, and later Chairman of the House Committee on Healthcare Services. Notable motions he proposed in the Assembly include mandating the teaching of indigenous languages in all primary and secondary schools in Lagos State and the immortalization of the late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
Olulade was the first Nigerian lawmaker to initiate an informative radio program known as ” ELENIYAN GBODE ” for constituents’ feedback and engagement. He is also the first lawmaker to move a substantive motion in indigenous language in Nigeria. Olulade’s legislative skills were crucial in implementing the Lagos State health insurance scheme and restructuring nursing schools in the state.
He is known as “ELENIYAN” for his philanthropic endeavors, particularly towards the less privileged, widows, and marginalized groups, Olulade has received over 200 awards both locally and internationally, in his career. Among these are the Outstanding Lawmaker of the Year awards in 2012 and 2015 and being named an Honorary Citizen of Georgia by the State of Georgia, USA. He is also the recipient of the Special Gold Award as the 2020 Fellowship Hall of Fame of the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management Politics (Ghana), among others.
In addition to his business expertise, Olulade is passionate about youth empowerment and leadership development. He founded the Eleniyancares Leadership Foundation, collaborating with institutions like the London School of Economics in England and the Leadership Institute Virginia in the United States. As an accomplished author, he wrote the award-winning book “ELENIYAN PERCEPTIVE,” with a foreword by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria H.E Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
Olulade’s skill set includes strategic planning, teamwork, human capital management, and effective communication. He is happily married to Engr. (Mrs) Mosunmola Olulade and blessed with two brilliant children.
