Olugbenga Omoniyi – Group Head, Human Resources
Gbenga is an accomplished Senior Business Executive and Professional with extensive expertise in a broad suite of operations especially in Strategic Planning, Human Resources Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, Business Consulting, and Advisory amongst others. He has a proven track record as a visionary with an awareness of multiple industry domains to facilitate the development and implementation of organizational and institutional strategies. He is proficient at organizational management with a reputation for leading teams toward peak performance. He drives the realization of organizational and institutional growth with adept management of organizational diversity while maintaining a firm focus on organizational performance.
He is an alumnus of Lagos Business School (Advanced Management Program-AMP), a Certified Behavioural & Emotional Intelligence Coach, a Certified Master Trainer & Facilitator, a Senior Certified Human Resources Professional (SHRM –SCP), a Certified ITIL Service Strategist, a Certified ITIL Foundation, a Certified DDI Facilitator, an Investor in People (IiP-UK) Internal Advocate amongst others. He is a professional member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM in Nigeria). He possesses an MBA degree from UCAM – Spain, and some other post-graduate degrees and certificates in leadership and management.
Gbenga is currently the Group Head and General Manager of Human Resources at Galaxy Backbone. Before joining Galaxy Backbone, he worked in different industries/sectors and in different capacities spanning across Management Consulting (where he led teams to consult for several local, multinational and development organizations), Telecommunication (i.e. MTN Nigeria as a member of HR Management Team) and Oil and Gas (as Head of Human Resources) amongst others.
He has attended several local and international training programs. He is married with children.
