Amb. Zanna Umaru Bukar-Kolo – Executive Director, Customer Centricity/ Marketing

Amb. Zanna Umaru Bukar-Kolo comes with over 30 years of cognate experience in public service. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and Administration from the University of Maiduguri in 1985.

He began his career as a Senior Protocol Officer, at State Protocol, Dodan Barracks, Lagos in 1988 and rose to the position of Principal Protocol Officer, State Protocol, State House, Abuja. In 1993 he was posted as Senior Counsellor at Nigeria High Commission, London United Kingdom. In 1999 he became Minister Counsellor, of the Staff Training and Welfare Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and he rose to the rank of Assistant Director/Head of First Committee, First United Nations Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and from there he became Minister/Head of Consular Section, Embassy of Nigeria, Tripoli, Libya in 2007.
In 2010 he became Deputy Director of the East and Central African Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then Special Assistant, International Relations and Foreign Affairs, Office of the Chief of Staff to the President. In 2014, he was posted as Minister/Chief of Protocol at the Embassy of Nigeria, Washington DC, United States of America. In 2017 he became Director of Protocol, Office of the State Chief of Protocol, Office of the President, State House, Abuja.
In 2019 he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Chad, and in 2021, he was appointed High Commissioner Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Uganda.
Amb. Zanna Bukar-Kolo was appointed as Executive Director, Customer Centricity and Marketing, Galaxy Backbone Limited on 22nd December 2022.
He has attended several local and international training programs. He is happily married with children.
